COVID-19 roared into the world in late 2019 and by mid-March 2020 California began experiencing COVID-related losses – of life, of health, of wellbeing, of income, of employment, of community, and of companionship. As life begins to return to a new version of “normal” we need to heal from our many losses. St. Athanasius Episcopal Church in Echo Park is responding to those losses.
St. Athanasius is a welcoming, affirming, diverse, urban community of people bound by a spiritual quest. The Healing from Loss project offers new ways for people to connect to each other, process their experiences of loss, and find meaning and hope. There are currently two scheduled virtual gatherings, featuring a conversation between the participants and two facilitators, Gerti Garner and John Sexton — spending time together in prayer, listening, and group reflection.
Monday, June 7 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM
Saturday, June 12 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM
You are welcome to attend either or both.
